Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of GeoHubNG (the "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GeoHubNG. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

GeoHubNG is Nigeria's dedicated professional network for the geospatial industry. The Platform provides:

• Professional profile creation and member directory for geospatial professionals
• A geospatial job board for employers and job seekers
• A verified directory of geospatial companies and organisations
• A community resources library for datasets, tools, and guides
• A technical discussion forum for the geospatial community
• Location intelligence tools including GeoHubEngine GeoSight™

GeoHubNG reserves the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time.

To use GeoHubNG you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a geospatial professional, organisation, employer, or individual with a genuine interest in the Nigerian geospatial industry
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from GeoHubNG

GeoHubNG is open to professionals based in Nigeria and Nigerian geospatial professionals working internationally.

When creating an account you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information
• Keep your account information current and up to date
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account

You may not create more than one account per individual or organisation without prior written permission from GeoHubNG. Accounts are non-transferable.

Email verification is required to access platform features. Unverified accounts may have limited access until verification is completed.

You agree to use GeoHubNG only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content, profiles, or listings
• Impersonate any person, professional, or organisation
• Harass, intimidate, or harm other members of the community
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without authorisation
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Platform
• Post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or irrelevant content
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform
• Use the Platform in any way that violates Nigerian law or applicable international law
• Solicit other members' personal information without their consent

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

You retain ownership of content you post on GeoHubNG, including your profile information, forum posts, and submitted resources. By posting content, you grant GeoHubNG a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the Platform.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to post all content you submit
• Your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Your content is accurate and not misleading
• Your content complies with all applicable laws

GeoHubNG reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

Employers posting job listings agree that:

• All job listings are genuine, current, and accurately described
• Listings relate to roles relevant to the geospatial industry
• Salary ranges and requirements are accurate at the time of posting
• They have the authority to recruit for the listed position
• Listings comply with Nigerian labour law and anti-discrimination requirements

Job posting fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published. GeoHubNG may remove listings that violate these Terms or that are reported as fraudulent.

GeoHubNG does not guarantee job placement and is not responsible for employment outcomes between employers and candidates.

Organisations listed in the GeoHubNG directory agree that:

• All information provided is accurate, current, and truthfully represents the organisation
• The person submitting the listing has authority to represent the organisation
• The organisation operates legitimately within the geospatial industry
• They will update their listing promptly if information changes

Verified badges are awarded at GeoHubNG's sole discretion following a review process. Verification does not constitute endorsement of any organisation's services.

Users who submit resources to the library confirm that they have the right to share the material under the licence specified at submission. GeoHubNG is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of community-submitted resources.

Users who download resources agree to:

• Respect the licence terms specified for each resource
• Not redistribute paid or proprietary resources without authorisation
• Attribute the source appropriately when required by the licence

Certain resources may require payment to download. All resource download fees are processed through Paystack and are governed by the payment terms in Section 10.

Certain GeoHubNG features require payment, including job listings, featured directory placements, and premium resource downloads. All payments are processed securely through Paystack.

By making a payment you agree that:

• You authorise GeoHubNG to charge the stated amount to your selected payment method
• All fees are stated and charged in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise specified
• Payments are non-refundable except where explicitly stated or required by Nigerian law
• GeoHubNG reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

For payment disputes, contact us at info@geohubng.com within 14 days of the transaction.

GeoHubNG and its original content, features, functionality, design, and technology — including GeoHubEngine™ — are owned by GeoHubNG and protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our express written permission.

The GeoHubNG name, logo, and the GeoHubEngine™ mark are trademarks of GeoHubNG. Unauthorised use of these marks is prohibited.

Your use of GeoHubNG is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

GeoHubNG takes your privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Location data processed by GeoHubEngine GeoSight™ is used solely to provide location intelligence results and is not stored beyond the current session unless you explicitly save a query.

GeoHubNG is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
• Any information on the Platform is accurate, complete, or current
• Geospatial data and analysis from GeoHubEngine GeoSight™ is suitable for professional engineering, legal, or regulatory decision-making without independent verification
• Job listings or directory entries represent the actual availability of positions or services

GeoHubEngine™ location intelligence results are provided for informational and exploratory purposes only. They should not be used as the sole basis for professional geospatial assessments, construction decisions, or legal proceedings.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, GeoHubNG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or geospatial information
• Damages resulting from reliance on user-submitted content
• Employment outcomes between employers and candidates
• Decisions made based on GeoHubEngine GeoSight™ analysis

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to GeoHubNG in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You may close your GeoHubNG account at any time by contacting us at info@geohubng.com or through your account settings.

GeoHubNG reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform, with or without notice, if you:

• Violate any provision of these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful conduct
• Post content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful to others
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or platform restrictions

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 6, 11, 13, 14, and 16 of these Terms survive termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of GeoHubNG shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved through mutual agreement, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

GeoHubNG may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify registered members via email or platform notification
• Provide at least 14 days' notice before changes take effect for material updates

Your continued use of GeoHubNG after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
