Built for Nigeria's
Geospatial Professionals
GeoHubNG is Nigeria's first dedicated professional network for the geospatial industry — connecting GIS analysts, remote sensing specialists, cartographers, surveyors, UAV operators, and spatial data scientists across all 36 states and the FCT.
To connect, elevate, and grow the Nigerian geospatial workforce
Nigeria has one of Africa's largest and fastest-growing geospatial sectors. Satellite data, LiDAR surveys, digital terrain models, and WebGIS platforms are transforming how infrastructure is planned, how land is managed, and how disasters are tracked across the country.
Yet the professionals driving this transformation — analysts, developers, surveyors, researchers — have had no dedicated space to meet, share knowledge, find opportunities, or showcase their work. GeoHubNG was built to change that.
Our mission is straightforward: give Nigeria's geospatial community the professional home it deserves.
How GeoHubNG came to be
The gap was obvious
Nigeria's geospatial professionals had nowhere to go online that was built specifically for them. General job boards listed GIS roles buried among unrelated postings. LinkedIn treated GIS as a niche skill rather than a profession. The Nigerian GIS community had no home.
Building instead of waiting
Rather than list an organisation on a third-party directory that was never built for geospatial professionals, the decision was made to build the directory ourselves. Then a job board. Then a forum. Then a resources library. GeoHubNG grew from the ground up, shaped by what the Nigerian geospatial community actually needs.
Nigeria's geospatial community hub
GeoHubNG is live — a platform where professionals build verified profiles, organisations list their services, employers post geospatial roles, the community shares datasets and tools, and discussions happen in a dedicated technical forum. All in one place. Built for Nigeria.
Everything the Nigerian GIS community needs
GeoHubNG is not a general-purpose platform with a GIS category. Every feature was designed specifically for geospatial professionals in Nigeria.
